I'm going to do that 'read 50 books in a year' challenge thing...

1. Harry potter and the order of the phoenix- j.k. rowling (which I should be able to finish by sunday... )
2. anansi boys- neil gaiman
3. Jonathan Strange and mr. norrell- susanna clarke
4. the ethics of star trek- judith barrad
5. phantom- terry goodkind
6. a history of pirates- nigel cawthorne
7. gunslinger (and the rest of the dark tower series... however many that is...)- stephen king
8. neuromancer- william gibson
9. pattern recognition

erm... I have a long way to go to get to 50... suggestions?

what william gibson have you read? he's got a bunch of good books.

geek love by katherine dunn (i think) is awesome and bizarre.

EVERYONE should read Pattern Recognition. I really think it's his best book.

I'd recommend both as well. And Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age, that's one of my favourite books.

If you run out of choices, just come over and browse my shelves. I have a couple of books. ;)
